THE BRIEF:
The transformation of a call-centre car park into the Planet Red mother ship, complete with dance hall, conference room and outdoor terrace. The event was designed to bring a sense of ascending excitement and anticipation with the build culminating in the show. It allowed the conversion of space used usually for nothing more exciting than parking cars into a venue to accomodate hundreds of people for a stage and lighting show providing Distinct Solutions and N Power with a bespoke, eye-catching and exciting venue in an industrial estate in Peterlee. Allow them to entertain and reward the N Power workers in situation on an existing N Power site.
DESCRIPTION:
GaiaNova Productions supplied and installed the Gaiaspace GT3-18 18M dome and GT3-13 13M diameter domes and a GaiaPod. GaiaNova provided an interconnecting tunnel turning the venues into one large indoor space and providing full continuity throughout the 2 room complex. We used over 500 square meters of raised flooring to site the domes. Bespoke branded indoor and outdoor surfaces were produced and installed. The approximately 500 square metres of internal surface of the GT3-18 was decorated with star cloth rigged from the structure to provide a fantastic environment. The windows of the GT3-13 were left open to provide a light and airy space. The aiaspace Pod was used as a control point and backstage entrance. The containers provided a secure and lockable back-stage office, kitchenette and storage area situated close to the dome.
